PropBlaster Trade Copier for MT5 (Master → Slaves) – User Guide

The copier mirrors every trade of your master account to any number of slave accounts on the same PC. The slave terminals run invisibly in the background. The master EA also contains the PropBlaster Panel for trade planning, lot sizing and trade management.

Files: mt5/PropBlaster_Master.mq5, mt5/PropBlaster_Slave.mq5 (until PropBlaster 4.5: TradeCopier_Master / TradeCopier_Slave) and the scripts in copier/ (TradeCopier.ps1, TradeCopier_Setup.cmd, TradeCopier_Start.cmd, TradeCopier_Stop.cmd, TradeCopier_Status.cmd).

How it works

What is copied

On the master On the slaves
New market position Same lot size, SL and TP
Pending order (limit/stop/stop-limit, expiry) created, modified or deleted Mirrored the same way
Pending order triggered Triggered, or opened at market after 3 s
SL/TP modified SL/TP is adjusted
Partial close The difference is closed
Position closed Is closed

Setup (one time, about 10 minutes)

  1. Double-click TradeCopier_Setup.cmd in the copier folder.
  2. The setup finds your MT5 installation and asks for:
  3. the account number of the master
  4. per slave: account number, server name (exactly as in the MT5 login window), trading password, chart symbol (default: EURUSD)
  5. The setup then automatically:
  6. creates the terminal copies (about 150–300 MB per slave)
  7. distributes the EAs and settings
  8. copies the master EA into your installation
  9. sets up autostart
  10. In the main terminal: Navigator → Expert Advisors → Refresh → drag PropBlaster\PropBlaster_Master onto any chart, OK. InpMasterLogin can stay 0 – the EA then uses the account logged in when it starts (enter the number explicitly if you want to pin it). Because the master EA also contains the PropBlaster Panel, Algo Trading must be enabled in the main terminal ("Allow Algo Trading" checkbox and the Algo Trading button).
  11. Confirm "Start slave terminals now" in the setup with y. Minimized MT5 windows appear in the taskbar, one per slave.
  12. Check once: open a slave window. The top-left of the chart must show Status: OK – Master …. In the journal under "Experts", master and slave must show the same Common folder.
  13. Test with a mini trade on a demo master.

PropBlaster Panel (in the master EA)

The master EA shows a panel in the top-left corner of the chart for planning, lot sizing and SL placement. It trades the symbol of the chart the master EA is attached to. If you change the chart's symbol, the copier simply keeps running.

  1. Risk: the button toggles between % Balance, % Equity and Amount (account currency). Enter the value next to it.
  2. SL pips: default stop-loss distance.
  3. TP: the button toggles between
  4. R:R: TP = R:R × SL distance, value in the field next to it
  5. free: drag the TP line with the mouse
  6. off: no TP
  7. Order type: MARKET (immediate) or PENDING. For pending orders the panel picks limit or stop automatically, depending on where the entry line is relative to the current price.
  8. Plan BUY / Plan SELL: entry (blue), SL (red) and TP (green) lines appear on the chart. Drag the SL (and for pending orders the entry) to the desired place, e.g. below the order block.
  9. The panel shows the lot size, the risk in money and %, SL/TP in pips, the R:R and the order type live.
  10. EXECUTE sends the order. CANCEL removes the lines.

Notes:

Management section

Below the order section, the panel offers trade management (start values come from the EA inputs under "Management"; afterwards the panel remembers your entries):

Management only acts while the terminal is logged in to the master account.

Auto journal

If the inputs under "Auto-Journal" are enabled, the master EA reports every opening and every full close of a master position to the PropBlaster Journal and takes chart screenshots (1m / 15m / 1H, optionally also at the close, with discreet entry/exit markers). The screenshots use the chart template set in InpShotTemplate (default Journal.tpl).

Operation

File Effect
TradeCopier_Status.cmd Shows which slaves are running, RAM usage, age of the master file and the latest log entries
TradeCopier_Start.cmd Starts the watchdog and the slaves (otherwise happens automatically at Windows sign-in)
TradeCopier_Stop.cmd Stops all slave terminals. Autostart remains active
TradeCopier_Setup.cmd Run again later to add or remove a slave, update the EAs or change a password

The slaves can also be controlled from the "Copier" tab of the PropBlaster Cockpit (see the Cockpit guide).

Built-in copier engine (beta)

Instead of the PowerShell script, PropBlaster itself can run the watchdog and manage the slaves. Switch it in PropBlaster under Settings → Trade copier → Copier engine:

Both engines use the same folder, the same config.json, the same slave terminals and the same encrypted passwords – nothing has to be set up again, and you can switch back and forth at any time. Only one watchdog ever runs: if a PowerShell watchdog is still running when you switch to the built-in engine, it keeps that role until it ends (e.g. at the next Windows restart); then PropBlaster takes over.

With the built-in engine you can add slaves (account number, server name exactly as in the MT5 login window, trading password, chart symbol), change passwords, remove, start and stop slaves and change the master in the "Copier" tab – no console window needed. The very first setup (finding the MT5 installation, choosing the master) is still done once with TradeCopier_Setup.cmd.

Switching back: select "PowerShell script (classic)" and save. PropBlaster ends its watchdog (a slave that is just starting is finished first, up to 3 minutes), puts the Startup shortcut back and starts the PowerShell watchdog. If the shortcut is missing, run TradeCopier_Setup.cmd → [3] once; it recreates it.

The built-in engine needs PropBlaster to be running. If you close PropBlaster, running slave terminals keep running and copying, but crashed terminals are not restarted until PropBlaster runs again.

Safety behavior

Settings (slave, in MQL5\Presets\PropBlaster_Slave.set of each slave terminal)

Parameter Default Meaning
InpLotMultiplier 1.0 1:1 lots
InpMaxOpenDelaySec 60 Older master positions are no longer opened retroactively
InpStaleSec 10 Pause after this many seconds without a master update
InpPendingGraceSec 3 Waiting time when pending orders trigger differently
InpDeviationPts 20 Max. slippage

Requirements and limitations

Troubleshooting

Message / symptom Solution
Slave chart: "No master file" Start the master EA in the main terminal. Check whether the Common folders in the journal differ
"stale – PAUSED" The main terminal is not logged in to the master, or the master EA is not running
Slave terminal reports "Invalid account" Server name or password wrong → Setup → [4] Change password, or create the slave again
Slave keeps restarting Check %LOCALAPPDATA%\TradeCopier\watchdog.log
"Algo Trading disabled" Enable the Algo Trading button in the slave window

Renamed EAs (PropBlaster 4.6)

TradeCopier_Master / TradeCopier_Slave are now called PropBlaster_Master / PropBlaster_Slave and live in MQL5\Experts\PropBlaster\. Nothing else changed (same channel files in Common\Files\TradeCopier\, same inputs, same config).

Migration: - Master: the installer puts PropBlaster_Master.ex5 into Experts\PropBlaster. The old TradeCopier_Master keeps running on its chart until you swap it: remove it from the chart, then drag PropBlaster_Master onto the same chart and set the same inputs (or load a saved .set). Best on the weekend or without open positions. Two masters at the same time are prevented by the EA. - Slaves: nothing to do. On the next (re)start of a slave terminal, the copier (script or built-in engine) installs PropBlaster_Slave into the slave folder, writes PropBlaster_Slave.set and starts the terminal with it. If the new file is not available, the slave keeps running TradeCopier_Slave – it never starts without an EA. The old files stay where they are and can be deleted later. - The setup assistant shows a terminal that only has the old master as "older version – please update".
